| Descripción : | This research focuses on analyzing the content of My Campus, a sitcom that stayed 13 years on the air on national television, with high popularity and harmony, one of the most watched on national television, as CIESPAL in turns to the Communications Law and the different social debates it generated. The analysis emphasized the generation of people montubio stereotypes and degradation of their culture. Articles of the Communications Law in which the complaint of 45 groups of different organizations, presented to the Super Administration of Information and Communication was based were also analyzed, which is responsible for enforcing the Organic Law of Communication (LOC) in April 2014. The methodology applied to this project included an analysis of audience reception in the second and third quintile of the Quito population through focus group of six people in order to both receive and verify their insights and generating stereotypes about people montubio and their worldview, likewise depth interviews with different stakeholders were conducted. As a result of this research it was found that My Campus violated more than one article of the Law on Communications, and disfigure the image of montubio people of Ecuador. The overall objective of this research was to create a new communication product that highlights the qualities of the people and their montubio claimed, that product is based on Art.36 of the LOC. |
