| dc.description | The city of Quito is well known to be a cultural epicenter not only in our country but of Latin America in general. San Francisco de Quito or just plain Quito besides of being the capital of the Ecuador is also the capital of the providence of Pichincha and now the Cultural Capital of America, Patrimony of Humanity. The extent and richness of it is archeological, historic and artistic patrimony of the city of Quito including it is monuments, buildings and cultural possessions are unique signs or unequalable and multiple faces of national identity, because of this 10 years ago the goberment institution and several state and international organizations have put a great effort in leading a process of conservating the Historic Center and all the surrounding areas of the DMPQ ( Distrito Metropolitano de Quito ) and have not cease the formulation of more interesting and daring future rehab proyects. One of them is the built in rehab of the old bus terminal Cumanda and it is surrounding areas. To understand the idea of the proyect the rehab involves: The Santa Cruz Street Round, the old area of the Terminal TerrestreCumanda with the Censo and Senastreet sides, The Ronda in it is third stage named 24th May Avenue including also it is side areas San Diego and the Victorian Plaza. This is really one of the municipality institution of Quito greatest rehabilitation proyect because of this in a 2 year period this theme was chosen to be the topic of the thesis. Since the beginning a deep and meaningful research to gather information was done in a systematic way with the whole idea to find out and meet the reality of the proyect itself. This was all made to find and define any problems so that afterwards with and specific analysis of the results consider a solution to the situation. After gathering all this results a complete research evaluated the whole building process of the proyects so with a deep camp investigation that included interviews, surveys and observation techniquesfocus and looked forward to establish communication strategies and public relationship tools to accomplish that all citizens from Quito were well informed of the built in progress of the proyects as well as to aim at and attain peoples minds towards this. One of the main purposes is to reach and hope this causes a membership feeling that generates a more close and meaningful relationship of the population of the area with the proyects. Thinking that once they know what the proyects are about will participate more directly with them and appreciate Quito and it is cultural areas for many years more. At the end of this work it is established that this proyect is original, useful, feasible and capable to be done. | en |
