dc.descriptionMy Fitness Food is a company that produces and sells desserts and protein foods with low calories, in the city of Quito. The project is classified in the industry of hosting activities (I55) and food and drink service (I56), which has presented an average GDP growth of 5.18%, ranking 15th of a total of 46 industries. This project is in line with current trends in food industry, which are directed to health care, in order to satisfy the growing demand for nutritious foods. Additionally, the number of people having an active and healthy lifestyle is getting higher, posing an excellent business opportunity. It has been determined as target market to men and women between 20-49 years old, residing in Quito, with a socioeconomic level A, B and C+, who exercise four hours a week or more, regardless the sport; which corresponds to a total market of 289,956 people. A strategy focused in niche market will be implemented, in order to achieve a strong position and a representative participation in the specific segment of athletes. The value proposition will be defined by a positioning strategy of “more for the same”, considering that products offer particular features specially designed to satisfy market needs at a competitive price. The organizational philosophy, infrastructure, and the flow of production processes will enable the optimal execution of business activities, which will lead the company to the achievement of its objectives. The initial investment amounts to $80.540,58, being 40% bank financing and 60% capital stock. The financial evaluation of the project has shown its profitability and viability by providing an IRR of 28,09% and a NPV of $30.786,93 for the project; and an IRR of 34,42% and a NPV of $38.665,82 for the investor.en
