dc.descriptionThe business idea emerged as an innovative initiative, with the main objective to verify the probability of developing and commercialize uvilla marmalade in the city of Quito, and meet the needs of consumers of this product. The marmalade business produced with uvillas belongs to the manufacture industry, which is one of the largest and most profitable industries of the country. The economic sector where is located the product is growing at an average of 8.8% in the last five years, demonstrating its stability, growth and liquidity it represents in the total GDP of Ecuador. The market research realized in the city of Quito, determined that the target market are people with an age ranging from 19 to 50, upper-middle and upper class. The information to define this segment got from surveys, focus groups and interviews with experts. It showed that 53% of respondents would love to find on the market marmalade produced with uvillas. However, the majority of respondents do not know the benefits that this fruit give to their bodies, which should be promoted as a differentiator of the product to achieve more customers. The supply chain that will be used is through two intermediaries, who are Supermaxi and neighborhood stores, which will have the last contact with the consumers of the marmalade. The marketing strategy that the company will apply is market penetration through the generation of a new product that satisfies the needs of consumers that appreciate the benefits for their health and body. The differentiation is basically to provide a healthy product with a unique flavor and that it features an Ecuadorian stamp and made of a native fruit. Within the company, the philosophy of empowerment which is to delegate power to all the people who are part of the company, which will build trust and good results when making and meet the objectives of the company will be handled. The initial investment is USD 100.935, 00, which includes all fixed and intangible assets and the amount of working capital that will require the company to begin operations. The financing of the initial investment will have a composition of 85% loan from a financial institution, and the remaining 15% equity. Within the financial model of the company, is of paramount importance for it is the point of equilibrium where costs and sales achieving cross cover all costs; the same is given at the medium of the second year of operation of the company when it comes to have a total of 7523 units sold. Business viability it measured by calculating the NPV, positive results in it. The results obtained through this financial index were USD 211,645.48, for which gives us a very important to make sure that the product will be accepted in the market and will have a good rotation in the same reference.en
