dc.descriptionThe project development is based on the improvement of the company “Soluciones Gastronómicas Sprodeali Cia. Ltda” through the opening of new establishment in Quito under the commercial brand “La Cayena”, name to be used hereinafter to refer to the company, which business concept is an integral service of foods through a restaurant and a delicatessen. (view anexo 4). For this, an internal and external analysis was carried out in order to determine factors that give an advantage for the establishment opening and other factors that must be corrected before the opening. Structural and strategic proposals are made with the objective of giving the company a better competitive position. Also, surveys were conducted to determine specific factors that are going to have an impact on the operability and strategies for the new establishment. An objective market of 38.041 persons was determined, and the analysis had positive results. The surveys gave a 93% of acceptance and confirmed the tendencies to consume the offered product. There is a favorable competitive environment for expansion. And finally, through eight years of financial projection, that reflects in the best terms the concepts presented in this project, the result was an internal rate of return of 32.15% that is higher than the required return of 14.91%. Therefore, the project must be launched as soon as possible to benefit from the advantage over the competence and maximize the owners return. It is advisable to make an expansion strategic plan with a calendar of new establishment openings in several locations and to diversify incomes entering with determined brands or products to channels that imply more selling volume as supermarkets.en
