| Descripción : | The present study was performed in the operating room of the dental clinic of the Universidad de las Américas which aimed to ensure that the low-power laser therapy is effective in accelerating the healing process post extraction of third molars erupted; the type of study that was done was experimental because the laser was operated patients, comparative as the mucosa was subjected to treatment versus control group and prospective because the results were obtained in subsequent days will differ; research was conducted in patients of both genders aged between 18 and 25 years which the upper third molars erupted in which the therapeutic laser therapy (LLLT) DMC (Galium Arsenic) he is extracted and applied it during 2 minutes and a distance of 2mm, the treatment was given in a single alveolus to postoperative time, the day and 8 days and measurements are likewise performed with a periodontal probe from both sides. As a result it was found that the wound had applied laser faster regeneration compared to the wound that did not receive therapy and concludes that the laser is effective for better healing and shorter convalescence from surgery, therefore be recommends using the laser as a cellular bio stimulator for patients undergoing third molar surgery, so it is advisable to conduct research on the advantages of lasers in more invasive procedures |
