dc.descriptionNowadays insurance companies worry about being more productive and effective, for this reason they are in constant changes in order to be more competitive in the market. In an insurance company you have contact with a large number of documents as a requirement for the issuance of a policy and it is possible that the staff involved should spend unnecessary time in looking for basic information to issue a policy. The interoceanic insurance policy issuance department is dedicated to renewing and issuing policies as required by its clients, according to the general conditions of each policy, considering previously negotiated characteristics such as: fees, deductibles, coverages and supplies necessary to proceed with the issuance of a policy According to Interoceanic C.A. (2014) “Seguros Interoceanic has grown in its demand for issuing policies, from 65,790 in 2012 to 81442 in 2014”, so that the delivery time of the policies has increased from 3 to 6 days and has not been modified. Methodology, there is currently a problem of dissatisfaction in the delivery time of the issuance of policies. In order to take corrective actions on the clients dissatisfaction index, techniques and tools will be used, such as the standardization of processes, in such a way that a sustainable continuous improvement process is established. Since standardization has as an important basis to follow a set of repetitive procedures and in turn put them in motion, following important rules that in special situations can be understood, in almost all proportions are obvious rules and important compliance with the purpose of obtaining results positive and approved for the planned activity. This is especially true in the case of standardization procedures that are used to corroborate the proper functioning of machinery, equipment or companies according to the established parameters and standards.en
