Descripción : Throughout history, people have had the need to keep all those pieces and collections that are part of their culture. This need led to the creation of architectural spaces called museums. Our country has an important musicological wealth, but there are museums that have gone unnoticed for decades, such as the museum Aurelio Espinosa Polit, one of the most important cultural sites in the country, located in the north of Quito in a heritage building. The interior proposal has a social and cultural approach, which aims through the interior architecture, giving to the society a functional museum with ergonomic and esthetic spaces that allow access and movement for all people regardless of their status. On the other hand the proposal has a cultural approach where some aspects like lighting, materials, furniture design and ergonomics are used to highlight all those historical pieces, taking into account parameters conservation and safety to ensure their knowledge in future generations. The project is unique because it work out in a heritage building, that is why it has been used a type of architecture by contrast, that means that it has clearly differentiated the original architecture of the new intervention. Being the type of project a museum, it is clear that one of the most important intentions is the exhibition of the collections. However, the main objective of the project is to turn the heritage building in the most important part of the museum exhibition.
