Descripción : Guayusa (Illex guayusa) has been a plant used by indigenous communities in the Amazon Region since several years ago, as an infusion, for being a stimulating and detoxifying drink according to their ancestral beliefs. Ecuador is a country plenty of biodiverse, being that the main reason why guayusa is analyzed at the present project, in order to take advantage of their chemical compounds, to add value and contribute to sources of employment and income in Napo. The development of these three energetic products was thought about the athlete target, especially bikers, whom in their endurance races it is demanded a higher effort and several training hours. In order to find out which would be the most appropriate product for the consumers, the Metropolitan District of Quito bikers between 15 to 40-years old, organoleptic evaluations were made; and, with the help with statistical tools, the consumers’ preferences were determined. Once the more appropriate formulations were chosen, the layout design for the industrial production of these three products was done, optimizing the use of space, time and movements. Finally, a financial analysis was done to determine the profit-earning capacity and feasibility of the implementation of the project.
