Resumen : La presente investigación hace referencia al análisis del sistema turístico que fue desarrollado en La Plaza Foch y su área de influencia, ubicado en la parroquia de La Mariscal del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, con el objetivo de conocer cuál es la situación actual de la misma y observar cómo interactúan los involucrados en el desarrollo turístico de la zona. El primer capítulo menciona los conceptos básicos de cada uno de los componentes del sistema turístico. Asimismo menciona la metodología, los instrumentos y métodos de investigación que se van a utilizar para realizar el análisis. El segundo capítulo señala el análisis histórico en donde se encuentran cada una de las etapas de cómo se fue desarrollando el barrio en el transcurso de los años. En el análisis social se tomó en cuenta la demografía, viviendas que se encuentran en la zona de La Mariscal, servicios básicos, establecimientos educativos, religiosos y centros de salud. En el análisis económico se obtuvieron las actividades económicas del sector, vías de transporte, uso de suelos y medio ambiente. En el tercer capítulo se realizó el análisis del sistema turístico de la Plaza Foch y su área de influencia, investigando la oferta, demanda y superestructura turística de la zona. De igual manera se interpretan los resultados obtenidos mediante las encuestas realizadas a los establecimientos turísticos y a los turistas. Además se logró un análisis de los involucrados que pertenecen al proyecto de estudio, logrando así las perspectivas actuales de cada uno de los elementos del sistema turístico de esta Plaza y su área de influencia.
Descripción : The present research makes reference to the Plaza Foch touristic system analysis and its sphere of influence, located in La Mariscal del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. To know its actual status and observe how the involved act into the zone touristic development. The first chapter mentions the basic concepts of each touristic system component. It furthermore, describes the methodology, instruments and investigation methods that will be used in the analysis. The second chapter points the historic analysis of the stages and development of the neighborhood through the years. Demography, properties in the zone, utility services, educative, religious and health center establishments, have been considered into the social analysis. The economic activities in the sector, transport routes, land use and environment have been get into the economic analysis. In the third chapter, the touristic system of the Plaza Foch and its sphere of influence investigation, the supply, demand and touristic superstructure of the zone was analyzed. Also interprets the results of the surveys did to the tourists and the touristic establishments. Also an analysis of the involved public in the studio project has been got, achieving actual perspectives of each touristic system element in the Plaza Foch and its sphere of influence.
