Topic: DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A STIRLING CYCLING EXPERIMENTAL ENGINE FOR LABORATORY USE General Objectives To build a Stirling cycle engine as a contribution to knowledge and research in the university. Stirling machine is defined as that device that converts heat into work, through a regenerative cycle which performs a cyclic expansion and compression through the thermal exchange of a gas at two points: cold focus and hot focus. Conclusions The built prototype has a disadvantage that is not having a total hermeticity, which directly affects the power of the engine and therefore its efficiency. The calculated results are very different from the practical results, since each material has its thermal properties and behaves differently in the system. Using the Stirling engine, it was demonstrated that it is possible to convert thermal energy into mechanical energy.en
