| dc.description | The group that was selected to start this project, was the Ecuadorian cumbia band called “Kumbia Swing”. This group is integrated with young talented musicians with plenty of experience which helped them produce their first track called “Te Amare”. Everything started with various group meetings. In the preproduction meetings the idea for the group and all the details were worked out before production. Once the idea for the project was clear, the search for a place to practice and record started. Keeping in mind that it takes about 12 hours to complete a production. For some planned recordings, we would arrive to the studio 30 minutes early to setup the proper equipment needed for the recording. This included the microphones, cables, direct boxes and pedestals. All the information corresponding to the recordings are saved on the hard drive in the studio and backed up on a flash drive. The software used for the recording of this project was “Pro Tools 10” and “Pro Tools HD”. The next step in the production is to fine tune and edit various aspects of the audio signal. This will help in the mixing and finalizing the final, cut to get the desired sound for the musical work. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | La agrupación escogida para comenzar el proyecto, fue la banda ecuatoriana de cumbia llamada “Kumbia Swing”, la misma que está integrada por músicos jóvenes cada uno con un amplio recorrido musical, quienes realizaron su primer sencillo, titulado “Te Amaré”. Todo comienza con varias reuniones previas con los integrantes. En la etapa de preproducción, se explicó la idea del proyecto y se tomó en cuenta varios detalles antes de empezar la etapa de producción. Una vez aclarada la idea del proyecto, se empieza a buscar un lugar en el cual se pueda ensayar, también se organiza un cronograma de ensayos y de grabación, ya que se cuenta con un tiempo de 12 horas para realizar la producción. Para las grabaciones planificadas se llegaba al estudio 30 minutos antes para retirar los micrófonos, cables, cajas directas y pedestales de acuerdo al uso e instrumento musical programado para grabar…. | es_ES |
