Descripción : Adolescence and aggression are closely associated in the statistics shown worldwide. In the search for possible causes, several authors propose that the influence of audiovisual media with their respective technologies play a fundamental role. It has been suggested that video games present among the main causes of violence in the world among teenagers, because they provide the possibility of interaction, identification and learning of aggressive behaviors of game characters and player. With this background, the present research seeks to relate, using statistical tests of independence, two variables inherent to video games on adolescents: game type preferred by the sample group and time spent playing, with each of the behaviors AHI Syndrome; aggression, Hostility and Anger, Spielberger, Krasner and Solomon; 1988, cited in Sanz, García Vera and Magan, 2010. p. 263 that has been used as an explanatory conceptual basis of the theoretical constructs studied. jointly investigated the correlation existing between the family type of teenager playing videogames and Syndrome AHI as a whole. the sample group; n equal to 241 was defined not random, but based on inclusion criteria and exclusion and accessibility of adolescents living in the city of Quito in ages between 13 and 18 years, belonging to three mixed educational institutions of the city. participants in the study were not asked to fill out a psychosocial questionnaire related to gaming habits and test self administered AQ/PA; Aggression Questionnaire/Tweens and Teens; Buss and Perry, 1992. The results show an independence between the variables studied.
