Considering the age of a child or their maturity level to group them in a classroom can influence directly in their development. In Ecuador the childhood education curriculum suggests that children should be grouped according to their chronological age because this sets skills with parameters to follow. This can create in children a disharmonic development because the pace of every child and their individualities are not respected.
