| Descripción : | This study analyzes the Ecuadorian populism, in the cases of Abdalá Bucaram and Rafael Correa, with the objective to establish continuities and differences between these populist actors since two different theoretical approaches: the populism as a democratic setback and as a democratizing force. Besides, this academic work will be focused in answer the following research question: what are the continuities historically present and short-term differences in the Ecuadorian populist phenomenon in the cases of Bucaram and Correa? And secondarily answer why such differences or similarities are present in each case? Finally, in this investigation was used the triangulation methodology to combine different theories, sources and methods to establish the continuities and differences of the Ecuadorian populism… |
