| Descripción : | Enzootic Bovine Leukosis EBL is a viral disease spread worldwide that affects bovine cattle, is caused by a complex retrovirus belonging to the subfamily orthoretrovirinae. This illness causes economic losses for reproductive problems, decreased efficiency production, forfeitures, deaths and increased rate of replacement of the property. The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence of EBL in the greater dairy farms of parish of Chambo. The study was performed with 356 blood serums belonging to 50% of the dairy animals of each property. The studied farms are of medium and large dairy farmers, who have a good level of technology (mechanical milking, artificial insemination, etc.)... |
