dc.descriptionThis work presents the process of implementing the RevPaz-7290 software, which allows to emulate the reverb of any room by entering the measured impulse response within it. The Lalama Theater and the Sports Hall of the UTA (Technical University of Ambato) were considered as the first rooms to emulate. This work suggests a methodology developed for a sophisticated capture of an impulse response of a room, which is based on the norm ISO-3382-2:2008 and methods for measuring reverberation time, being it the key of having a good emulation of room reverberation. During the development of the software, tests were performed in MATLAB, which helped making the software’s final flow diagram, the same one that was programmed in the Max/MSP platform and allows real time processing. The necessary mathematical processes were programmed, such as: the Fourier transformation, the convolution and the design of a graphical user interface to make a friendlier software-user relationship, making it very versatile and manageable, in order to present a good tool in music production, postproduction and educational applications. The RevPaz-7290 software is not meant to be a definitive computer program, because its approach accesses to increase its database making it possible to emulate other various rooms, this program also sets the ground for future investigations, because it consents the addition of utilities to its structure, for example, the modification of reverberation time and early reflections, among other things.en
