Descripción : This research is based on the evaluation of noise impact caused by air traffic of the Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito, Ecuador. The impact evaluation consists in analyzing the modeling of the aircrafts activities, performed in the software INM (Integrated Noise Model) 7.0, which delivers at its output a noise contour map. In this manner it is possible to identify those areas affected by the noise from the operation of the Airport, according to the provisions of local legislation regulating noise from airports. The model was made with aircraft movement information provided by the Civil Aviation Department of (CAD), corresponding to an average month in 2011. The results obtained by the computer model were compared with the results of the continuous monitoring performed by the Metropolitan District municipality of Quito, through the Department of Environment. The methodology used for the development of this research is inductive since the thesis was started with the analysis of the characteristics of the problem by modeling and measuring since its inception way to generalities of it and finally obtaining an overall conclusion of the noise impact, all these product of the specific processes previously performed, in other words, the work was carried out experimentally.
