Descripción : The BI solutions go years between us and every time they acquire major importance in the organizations. Nowadays, the need to possess a tool of business intelligence has moved to all the markets, from the multinationals, through big companies and PYMES. Every industry has its own business model, processes and activities that characterize it. Develop and follow a pattern of implementation is virtually impossible, for this reason is recommendable to make a deep study of the needs of information in an organization and cross them with the criteria of evaluation that the experts consider to be like the most relevant to determine the fulfillment of the characteristics offered by the tools. The present work, realizes an operative level, product and market analysis of 12 proprietary tools and 8 Opensource BI tools. For this purpose was taken as reference 72 evaluation criteria, those most used by four renowned consultants: Gartner, Forrester, Dresner and BARC. Each criteria was rated based on the reports of experts since 2010 to July 2014. To identify the best methodologies for BI projects, currently widespread, it was necessary to conduct a descriptive-comparative study of activities involved in 3 traditional, 7 agile, 4 generic and 5 proprietary methodologies. For it, there was necessary to elaborate a list of all the tasks of chosen methodologies and its criteria were classified into 10 phases. Identified the information needs of Josarflor, the sponsoring company; it proceeded to categorize them according to MosCow method, a technique for prioritizing requirements. According with the analysis of the requirements vs the tools, QlikView and Tableau obtained the best ranking inside the proprietary; and Birt and Pentaho in the Opensource...
