| dc.description | With the standardization of the DVD and more recently the Blue-Ray, and with the launching of new encoding formats 5.1 Surround and Dolby Digital (AC-3), DTS and the Sony SDDS, the cinematographic productions and musical sound with 5.1 Surround became commercial and more accessible to the public, so that the demand for this technology had a global growth, thereby creating the industry of Home Theater or Home cinema, which tried to implement the same visual and hearing experience, which was only achieved in the cinemas, to the comfortable space at home, without having to spend a lot of money or be a privileged individual. Needles to say, that the systems of multichannel audio surround have a bright future and there is still a lot to do for the world of entertainment and audiovisual production, as for example the AUDIO 3D (Holophonics), which, it should be clarified, is not the same as Surround Sound 5.1 but they are closely related. In the final analysis, the key to sound production multichannel is how to make an effective use of the Surround speakers and Subwoofer in order to create a product with a maximum value of virtual entertainment. | en |
