dc.descriptionIn the present work show the procedure followed in the design, construction and evaluation of an omnidirectional sound source (FSO) using an icosidodecahedron as acoustic box. The design realized it from the own characteristics of the loudspeakers used. The stage of amplification of the FSO can realize it using a monophonic amplifier thanks to the connection series parallel that was used to connect 12 loudspeakers that compose the FSO. In one of the most relevant parts of this work is indicated how the FSO works in phase, of this form is simulated a sphere or omnidirectional sound source ideal. The evaluation of the FSO was done following the procedure of the ISO 3382 and ISO 140-3 that dictate the parameters in order that a sound source is catalogued like omnidirectional. Finally the cost of manufacture of the presented prototype is about 20 por ciento compared with other sound sources existing.en
