The heritage of people includes music; a clear example is the Andean folk music can be identified in the town bands that are the product of miscegenation. The problem that arises is the lack of knowledge and appreciation of Quito to his heritage, so the identity is lost over the generations. The bands had to go through a process because initially the sounds and conditions were precarious. Currently, there are over 200 bands in the Metropolitan District of Quito, they are linked to the traditional neighborhoods of the city so many of them have several years of creation. For example, the band “Los Fundadores” of San Isidro del Inca has over 50 years old. There are also young bands created a few years ago. One of these bands is “Divino Niño” of La Floresta that is 2 years old. Members of each of the bands perform their jobs in the day to dedicate in the night to rehearse. For example, in this band most of its members are dedicated to building. “El Centro Cultural Mama Cuchara” is the institution that provides more information about the district's popular bands. The Department of Parish Bands in Mama Cuchara was created in the late 50 and has since worked in the training of the village band. Since its inception, the center has sought support for this project investigating a physical space for the needs of the groups. Bands parish department asked directly to the local municipality of Quito for their students and they are the initiators of the project IMPQ "La Casa de las Bandas." Conservation, dissemination and care of Heritage is the responsibility of the entire community to learn to be citizens and create cultural and historical identity. The project aims to help improve educational quality and linking people with their environment assets. Main objective is the creation of a global image using graphic and industrial design for town bands and thus promoting ownership and community involvement related to the values musical identity of Quito and therefore its culture and history. The secondary objectives include: Identify projects that IMPQ makes in the area of music dedicated to rescue the heritage from traditional bands. Define the appropriate graphic material to be used for disseminating to the public all relevant elements that give character to the bands heritage town of Quito. Specify design strategies focused on ergonomics and graphic image of external and internal transport (CHIVA) that is part of the identity of “Casa de las Bandas”. Assess the current status of town bands and acceptance of citizens to their sense of belonging to this heritage. Conduct a design proposal for the overall picture for “Casa de las Bandas”, which includes the corporate image and a “chiva” that identifies the institution. Finally, we achieved an overall picture that includes a brand that represents the cultural and educational center and hence “Las Bandas de Pueblo” through its various applications.en
