| dc.description | The present study deals about an evaluation of a group of mothers on the level of knowledge of mouth care in infants 0-6 months that went to the area from the Health Center from Calderon District Area D1712 in Quito – Ecuador and promote oral health through an informative manual. Objectives: Analyze the knowledge of mothers on oral cleanliness in infants 0- 6 months and promote oral health through an educational manual to prevent the presence of tongue coating on the back. Materials and Methods: In the investigation, participated 100 mothers with babies from 0 to 6 months of age. The universe of this study was divided in two groups, were 50 mothers in each group. Using a different method in each group. At the beginning of the investigation, the experimental group took delivery of educational handbook, and at the end of the month, they had been a survey.
