Resumen : Este trabajo refleja un estudio de un caso único de hemiplejía derivada de un trauma craneoencefálico desde el enfoque transpersonal...
Descripción : This work reflects a single case study of hemiplegic resulting from a head injury from the transpersonal approach. The general objective refers to the examination of conscience -and its development- in the therapeutic process that involves a diagnosis of this kind. The case is presented chronologically. It describes the complexity of the trauma as well as its later physical treatment. From the diagnosis, prognosis and clinical treatment goes on to explain the theory of consciousness from the transpersonal view, as well as a review of the Integral Vision proposed by Ken Wilber. The evolution of the case takes on special interest in issues relating to the particular experience of the patient, who describes the phenomenology of consciousness expansion from the circumstantial situation in which he was enrolled. In addition, during his integral recovery, the patient used several transpersonal techniques which are also displayed throughout the work. The information was gathered through semi-structured interviews conducted at both the respective specialists involved in the patient´s diagnosis and recovery in its various aspects as well with the patient himself. This information is exposed along with the one obtained by reviewing the literature on topics concerning to this specific case. In the reports of the specialists and the patient, it was possible to identify the integral development of the case. This work subjectively concludes the presence of consciousness and its impact on the recovery of this patient in particular as also leaves open the possibility of its action in therapeutic processes in general.
