dc.descriptionThe following business plan details the proposal of the creation of EMPROCERD CIA. LTDA. This business will be dedicated to the production and the merchandising of traditional Colombian pork products in the north of the city of Quito. The attractiveness of this business is due to the lack of production companies which offer smoked Colombian sausages, smoked pork chops, and pork rinds, which would distribute to specific neglected segments. Another important aspect is the constant growth of the processing and preserving of meat sector, with an increase of 8% in 2013, due to the change in the productive matrix causing a decrease in the import of certain products, thus encouraging the food industry to generate new production mechanisms. The target market is made up of Colombian restaurants and bakeries of the zonal administration Eugenio Espejo and La Delicia. This specific sector was chosen through a market research, which yielded information about the real necessities and profiles of possible customers willing to buy the products needed to prepare their ethnic dishes. The positioning of the company will be based on the creation of brand equity, through the strategy of segmentation, which will allow to concentrate our efforts on a specific sector, achieving differentiation in the distribution and prices in the target market. The established processes that will shape the operations in the company, will allow to optimize resources; time and the generation of the benefits of an economy of scale, which will be supported by a policy of efficient purchase may avoid large inventories or losses due to decay.en
