dc.descriptionThe current state of progress and growth of the country, and a historical dependence on the oil sector carry entrepreneurs to rescue and strengthen one of the greatest heritages of Ecuador, tourism. The country has great potential for growth in ecotourism, due to the great biodiversity that exists within the different regions of the country. Because of the evident opportunity and the absence of a fully specialized Ecotourism Tours Company, this project seeks to determine the feasibility of creating a touristic operator specialized on ecotourism services. The key success factor of the project focuses on customizing packages, i.e., the tourist designs the tour that fits his tastes and requirements based on ecotourism options the company offers. The tourism market in Ecuador has high rates of growth by reason of the current investment and government incentives in the sector; the country has earned international recognition. These factors provide incentives to generate growth in market size. The European market chooses ecotourism in a percentage higher than 50%, while the 10% of the domestic market chooses ecotourism with an increasing trend. The project is aimed at two markets: domestic tourism and inbound tourism, focus on the United States, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. To satisfy the target markets, the project proposes a distribution strategy through direct sales, online sales, and authorized distributors in the foreign markets, coupled with a strong marketing strategy that allows better positioning of ecotourism and its benefits. In addition, the project presents an operation strategy that is focused on developed flexible systems of personalized ecotourism packages elaboration that ensure a quality service. For this the company will have a sale and marketing manager, an operations manager, two vendors, and two drivers as permanent staff and specialized tour guides staff as a variable.en
