Resumen : El tratamiento de aguas residuales debería ser aplicado en todo proceso que involucre alguna afectación o cambio en las características del agua...
Descripción : Wastewater treatment should be applied in any process that involves any effect or change in the characteristics of the water. The physical-chemical process is one of the most important because they are those that have the greatest removal of solids. Nowadays, studying computational fluid dynamics allows to virtually simulate the hydrodynamics of these processes and understand the behavior of fluids inside tanks. In this study, a simulation of the behavior of a UDLAPARK pilot WWTP flocculator tank is carried out, using the pimpleFoam solver in the OpenFoam software, using a RANS type turbulence model, which shows the behavior and time of the water inside the tank. . From the Salome software, the geometry used for the project was created, a flocculating tank (1.16x0.625x0.7) m with two different chambers, which are divided by an acrylic sheet. The tank has a water inlet and outlet velocity of 0.33m / s, through a 2-inch tube. In the last stage, the results obtained in the ParaView program were visualized, in which, after carrying out a simulation of 150 seconds with a delta T of 0.001 seconds, different figures and graphs were obtained, where the behavior of the water was observed. inside the tank and finally, the hydraulic retention time in the tank was calculated in its two dimensions.
