Descripción : Introduction: A decayed tooth or tooth with reduced dental structure can become fragile or prone to fractures, so it needs to receive a restorative material, teeth that do not receive a restoration show less fracture resistance between 2.5 to 3.0 times; The mechanical stability of the restorative material is one of the prerequisites for the long-term clinical success of the restoration, teeth undergo a multitude of mechanical and chemical interactions in the oral cavity, if the mechanical load caused exceeds the inherent capacity of the Material to resist the forces produced, cracks and fractures may appear in the resin. Materials and Methods: A total of 20 samples (8 millimeter high, 4 millimeter diameter), half of Nanohybrid Z350XT resin (3M ESPE) were prepared using increments up to 2.0 millimeter thick; and the other half of Bulk fill resin (3M ESPE) using 4 millimeter increments of thickness, the samples were stored at 37 degrees Celsius, in distilled water for 24 hours, then the compression test was carried out in the universal testing machine MTS JJ MACHINE TYPE T5002 from the University of the Armed Forces ESPE, the samples were loaded at a crosshead speed of 0.5cm min, the values obtained from the machine were the maximum load supported expressed in Newtons, recorded in a data collection, with these the calculation of the compressive resistance expressed in Mpa was performed. Results: The mean compressive strength of the Z350XT resin was 240.70 MPa, with a standard deviation of 6.95 MPa and the Bulk Fill of 242.70 MPa, with a standard deviation of 7.51 MPa. The sample means are simila, there are no significant differences between the study groups. Conclusions: The compressive strength of the conventional nanohybrid composite resin (Z350XT) and bulk are similar to each other, there are no statistical differences.
