| dc.description | The present investigation contemplates a study based on the rural parish of Conocoto (Quito-Ecuador) where the levels of noise pollution generated by traffic are shown. Through the information systems Open Street Maps and Google Maps, the necessary cartographic information is obtained to define a specific rural area and its streets that are to be analyzed. For this, a classification of various streets is carried out according to its structure, the material from which it is built and a vehicle count is made on the main roads of the map. Parameters are added that will determine noise levels such as: contours (CN), buildings, etc. A simulation is performed in the CadnaA (Computer Aided Noise Abatement) sound prediction software using the RLS-90 model. These results are compared with the measurements through a sound level meter at the points where there is a greater concentration of noise pollution, and surveys are carried out on people who live in that sector in order to analyze their sound perception. | en |
