Resumen : Los médicos posgradistas son profesionales de la salud que están en proceso de especialización, por lo que para completar su formación deben realizar no solo actividades académicas sino también asistenciales en diferentes hospitales a nivel nacional...
Descripción : Postgradist doctors are health professionals who are in the process of specialization. In order to complete their training, they must perform, not only academic activities, but also assistance in different hospitals nationwide. There are two types of postgradist students: self- financed: (they pay for their studies completely and do not receive remuneration) and scholars (they receive help from the state as well as remuneration). However, in both cases they are exposed to precarious working conditions, bureaucratic obstacles and violations of their rights, which have not yet been made visible. This research proposes to demonstrate the problems faced by postgradist doctors in Ecuador. It will expose the conditions they work and if they adapt to what is established in the technical standards that govern their training. Also, we will identify how the resident's level of education influences the quality of the country's health system. Likewise, life stories of postgradist doctors that contextualize their current situation will be shown. Finally, the main findings and conclusions of the investigation will be expressed as violations of rights and lack of commitment of government authorities.
