Descripción : The “guinea pigs” production in Ecuador has a high concentration between the small agricultural producers, especially from the highlands, becoming as a complementary productive activity in the farmer families, used as a part of their food diet and as a familiar economic source. The company to be established will be a one.-person limited society, dedicated to the commercialization of rare-cooked “guinea pigs” vacuum packed in Loja city, with the purpose of satisfying the local demand with high standard hygiene and quality products. Objective To elaborate a business to allow the successful implantation of a new company in charge of the “guinea pig” sale vacuum packed in Loja city. Specific Objectives To determinate the product acceptation in the market and the technical knowledge of the “guinea pig” production. • To investigate the environment in order to determinate potential opportunities or threats in the business. • To develop a strategically marketing plan for the chosen market segment. • To determinate the financial feasibility of the business. • To create and implement a company dedicated to the commercialization of the “guinea pig” vacuum packed in Loja city. The objective in the market are the men and women from mid – high stratum in Loja city between 10 to 70 years old. And it has been proved that people older than 70 years old consume “guinea pig” meat. The product will be rare-cooked and pickled, which benefits the consumer, saving time when to be prepared. The product vacuum packed will help itself to maintain higher durability and conservation. The business analysis was conducted for the first five years, the initial investment is 41.383,70 USD, from which the 70% will be financed by proper capital and the 30% by bank credit. The net current value (VAN) is from the inner return rate (TIR) on the expected scenery with leverage is of 76,262.50 USD and 69,95 % respectively. All mentioned before, the current plan achieves to demonstrate that the business is viable.
