Resumen : Objetivo: Esta investigación tuvo como propósito comparar la resistencia adhesiva entre las resinas convencional y bulk adheridas a dentina con un sistema adhesivo universal con y sin grabado ácido previo...
Descripción : Objective: The purpose of this investigation was to compare the adhesive strength between conventional and bulk resins adhered to dentin with a universal adhesive system with and without prior acid etching. Material and method: 20 premolars cut by the cemented amelo junction were used, divided into 2 groups, in which restorations were performed with incremental technique with conventional resin and the other group with a single increment technique for the bulk resin; two groups were subdivided according to the previous acid etching application with 37 percent H3PO4, and the Universal Single Bond (3M, ESPE) adhesive system was applied. Once the teeth were restored, they were cut until specimens were obtained in a ―stick‖ form, to be subjected to the micro-traction test until the moment in which the fracture was performed. The statistical data of the adhesive resistance were analyzed by ANOVA and Tukey test. Results: The average adhesive resistance is higher when using the conventional resin with prior acid etching and Universal Single Bond adhesive (3M, ESPE), generating the highest resistance (36,328MPa) and recording its lowest value in the incremental technique only with the Application of the universal self-adhesive without prior acid etching (21,299MPa). Similarly, the type of fracture that prevailed was the adhesive for all the groups studied. With the Tukey test it shows that there is a statistically significant difference (p minor 0.05) between the groups that used prior acid etching regardless of the resins and the adhesive system used. Between conventional and bulk resin there is no difference in adhesive strength, when using the adhesive system with or without prior acid etching. Conclusions: The adhesive resistance of the conventional resin, using the prior acid etching technique plus the Universal Single Bond adhesive system presents the best results. Regarding the type of fracture, the adhesive fracture was presented in all the micro tensile tests. The adhesive resistance shows better results in those groups had a previous acid etching and Universal Single Bond adhesive.
