The growth of microorganisms in the rhizosphere of the mortiño are determined by the physical-chemical characteristics of the soil. The moorland has a sandy loam texture, which links porosity factors and water retention. The soil must have high concentrations of iron, potassium, zinc and low sulfur, copper and manganese organic matter. This study was conducted in the Yanacocha moors, Quito canton, Pichincha province and Pueblo Viejo, Mira canton, Carchi province, Ecuador. The study aimed to evaluate the influence of microorganisms associated with the root and rhizosphere of the mortiño (Vaccinium floribundum Kunth). The samples were collected at a depth of 20 cm with calicate, were packed in ziploc bags and stored at -80 ° C. In the laboratory, a suspension of the soil or root samples in physiological serum was performed in a ratio of 100: 1000 and stirred for 45 minutes. The soil suspension was adjusted to a dilution of and a 100 μl aliquot was taken to inoculate in PDA and SDA agar. The samples were incubated at 25 ° C for 72 hours, to identify fruiting bodies with lactophenol staining. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics with the parameters of mean, standard deviation, variance, range, and biodiversity index were considered to compare the variable: total microorganisms (cfu / g) in the rhizosphere of the plant. In addition, an ANDEVA was performed in a completely randomized design in a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement with three repetitions. The variables analyzed were: total microorganisms (cfu / g), total fungi (cfu / g) and presence of the genus Penicillium spp, (cfu / g). The results showed that there are more microorganisms in the roots than in the soil. However, the population of fungi () is greater in the soil than in the roots (). In the soil of the locality of Yanacocha the beneficial fungi belonging to the genera: Penicillium spp) and Mortierella spp) were identified and in the roots it was determined: Penicillium spp, and Mortierella spp). The pathogenic fungi found in the soil of Yanacocha correspond to the genera: Colletotrichum spp () and Cladosporium spp (), and in the roots it was isolated: Colleotrichum spp), and Cladosporium spp. In the soil of the town of Pueblo Viejo were the beneficial genera: Penicillium spp), Trichoderma spp), Staphylotrichum spp), and Humicola spp and in the roots Penicillium spp (), Trichoderma spp, Staphylotrichum spp), and Humicola spp) . The pathogenic genera detected in the soil of Pueblo Viejo were: Phytium spp) Absidia spp), Mucor spp). However, the roots identified: Phytium spp (), Absidia spp) and Mucor spp. Finally, in the town of Yanacocha the diversity index was 0.041 low in relation to the town of Pueblo Viejo with an index of 0.016.en
