Descripción : | The objective of this work is to find an alternative to the waste of Passion fruit seeds provoked by the food industries, giving it an added value in the cosmetic industry. To obtain the oil, two methods were applied, by physical and chemical extraction. Base formulations of cream and shampoo were made. The treatments for shampoo were 3, where the amount of passion fruit oil was varied and for exfoliating cream there were 6 treatments with variation in the amount of passion fruit oil and emollient. In the treatments for shampoo the variables of viscosity, pH and foam capacity were evaluated and for the treatments of exfoliating cream the capacity of emulsion, pH and extensibility. Finally, with the best results obtained from shampoo (T1) and exfoliating cream (T5), which fulfilled all the proven properties, the cost benefit for shampoo was analyzed in which it was obtained that for every dollar invested there is a gain of 0.18 cents and for exfoliating cream for every dollar invested there is a gain of 0.19 cents. |
