Descripción : Currently, there are few solutions in society that allow raising the quality of life of people with physical disabilities, which help to complement the lack or total loss of some sense, directly impacting their daily lives. One of the most obvious cases is that of people with visual disabilities, since most of the precautionary signs and informative guides use visual means, which is dangerous for blind people not knowing what is in front of them. yours. According to a survey carried out by the National Council for the Equality of Disabilities in the Quito canton alone, there are around 7 634 people who are not sighted, of which 2 202 people are active in work. The lack of autonomy to perform certain seemingly simple tasks is a problem for your daily life for this group of people. The recognition of signals such as: emergency exit, restrooms, danger, stop, etc. They are fundamental for the whole society. The ability to distinguish specific places based on signs is essential for mobility. As a possible solution to this problem is the need to implement a mobile application (taking advantage of the exponential growth of these devices and their characteristics of portability and accessibility) that helps the recognition of this type of signals through the use of cognitive services, helping the person to increase their reaction times and facilitating the location of key places within their work environment; giving it a sense of self-sufficiency.
