Descripción : This investigation evidences the impact that have had the technological applications for transport in Quito and how they have affected to taxi drivers. Since their arrival on 2016 until 2019 when the debates regarded to the aprovement of the authorized use of applications as Uber, Cabify and Indriver have been intensified. This have allowed particular people to use their vehicles and provide private mobilization services. The taxi drivers feel threatened and upset about mobile apps, because in their opinion it makes their jobs vulnerable. Carlos Brunis, President of the Unión de Cooperativas de Transporte y Taxis de Pichincha, expresses the discomfort that has generated this conflict in the guild, principally due to the lack of regularizations to the service offered by the mobile apps. However, people of public interest as Jorge Yunda, the Major of Quito, affirms that he has a plan of action to regularize as soon as possible the services offered by the different mobile apps, because this generates more exigency to the service offered by legal taxis. Quito has turned to a city with black traffic at every hour and a big part of this problem is due to the legal taxis that circulate by the city searching passengers, this affirm city experts and AMT. As a solution to both problems, the legalization of mobile apps and the black traffic in Quito, authorities and transport experts propose the regularization of the mobile apps, an action that is possible, as mentions the Doctor in jurisprudence, Natalia Vivanco, and the creation of a new app for legal taxis that avoids their free circulation by the city without passengers and that eases them the access to the taxis.
