| Resumen : | En este trabajo se realizará un análisis sobre las mujeres en el cine desde su participación como realizadoras y su representación como personajes. Por medio del estudio de la historia del cine y en conjunto a teóricas de cine feministas como Mulvey y De Lauretis, se pretende entender cuál ha sido el rol de las mujeres dentro de la cinematografía y cómo su presencia ha interferido en el desarrollo y evolución del mismo. De esta manera se ha realizado una comparación con la situación del cine en Ecuador, en donde se presume que la brecha de género es reducida, y por ende las mujeres han tenido un espacio significativo dentro de la industria. |
| Descripción : | The next paper will conduct an analysis of women in film from their participation as filmmakers and their representation as characters. Through the study of the history of cinema along with film feminist theorists such as Mulvey and De Lauretis, this project intends to bring understanding on the role of women in cinematography, and how their presence has interfered in the development and evolution of the industry. Consequently, a comparison has been made concerning the situation of the cinema industry in Ecuador, presuming that the gender gap is reduced and therefore women have had a significant space within the movie industry. |
