Descripción : Describe the clinical and imaging presentation at the time of diagnosisas well as the treatment in patients treated at Hospital de Especialidades Eugenio Espejo with Non-functioning pituitary adenomas (NFPA). It was made by a cross-sectional study of the patients diagnosed with NFPA between 2015 and 2017. Through medical history the clinical presentation, the initial magnetic resonance, the treatment performed and its results were analyzed. The population was 128 patients, of whom 35.9 percent were men and 64.1 percent women with a mean age of 47.6 more or less 15.3 years. The defects of the visual fields were in 71.77 pecent, being the mass effect the more common. Hypopituitarism was present in 55.65 percent of the population. The thyroid axis was affected in 46.8 percent of the patients. The 81.3 percent of diagnoses were incidental. The magnetic resonance showed that the 83.6 percent of the tumors were macroadenomas, the extraselar extension was 70.9 percent, and 59.8 percent at clinical presentation had compression optic chiasm. The management was: 32.4 percent of the patients were observed, 59.4 percent received surgery, 27.3 percent received cabergoline, and 7 percent received radiotherapy. In patients undergoing surgery, hypopituitarism increased to 76.1 percent and hypothyroidism to 72.7 percent. The visual field defects decreased to 36 pecent. The NFPA had at the time of diagnosis more neurological compression symptoms. The diagnosis is mainly incidental, in a state of advanced tumor growth.
