Descripción : The advancement of technology in the area of dentistry has evolved notably with the development of structures with 3D digital design for oral rehabilitation, which has allowed to obtain more efficient marginal seals in contrast to conventional techniques, becoming procedures of choice for part of the operator, therefore the objective of the present study is to evaluate the marginal sealing in metallic wax crowns elaborated with the casting technique and in CAD/CAM, performing with a dental preparation with a finishing line in chamfer in a superior ivorine premolar and then duplicated in plaster, then with the die a duplicate was made in metal to obtain the replicas with silicone technique that will allow the analysis with scanning electron microscopy, the samples were divided into two groups of thirteen each, in the first evaluated the marginal sealing using the casting technique, and in the second group using the CAD/CAM system with laser sintering, after the statistical study it is concluded that the null hypothesis is rejected since the p-value Sig. Asymptotic (bilateral) equal 0.000 smaller than 0.05 (95 porcent reliability), in the different tests, consequently, the alternative hypothesis is accepted: There is a statistically significant difference between the measurements of the COLADO technique and the CAD/CAM technique, where it is evident that the CAD/CAM technique with laser sintering presents less marginal discrepancy , so it is recommended to use this technique for the development of structures, however most studies that have been conducted on this subject did not apply ceramics and therefore temperature to the cap, so it is recommended that more research be done with regarding the issue raised.
