Descripción : BioStraw Co. Ltda., Is a company that will be located in the city of Quito and will be dedicated to the development and commercialization of environmentally friendly biodegradable sorbets. The idea of ​​establishing the business arises from the global trend of handling degradable organic products and at the same time they are a fertilizer for the land. BioStraw Co. Ltda., Will have a functional organizational structure, the work team will be grouped by specialty and function and will have eight workers. The initial investment that this business requires is US $ 54,605, $ 90, 65% will be its capital and 35% will be for bank financing. Its main objective is to collaborate with the decontamination of the ecosystem, caused by the approximately 13 million tons of plastic that take between 100 and 1000 years to degrade. The marketing strategy will be the sale of a biodegradable sorbet with excellent characteristics, which the customer distinguishes as insurmountable and who does not mind paying a fair price. Market research concludes that 86% of customers would like to acquire the biodegradable corn starch sorbets that BioStraw will produce, its socio-economic level is located in the medium and medium high levels, and preferably residents in the north of the city of Quito The target market is parents between 18 and 52 years old and their children, they would buy biodegradable sorbets for their children's parties. A financial evaluation was carried out with a projection of income, costs and expenses for the period 2013 and 2018, with indicators such as inflation and industry growth. A projection of annual production for five years with its costs and expenses. The net present value (NPV) is higher than the initial investment, which indicates that the company and the investor have good benefits. The recovery of the initial investment is 3.40 and 3.49 years. The IRR shows that: the profitability obtained in the flow of the project and investor is greater than the opportunity cost and allows a profitability superior to other types of investments, therefore, it is beneficial for the shareholder.
