dc.descriptionObjectives: To determine the level of knowledge of students of the IIV Clinic of Dentistry of the University of the Americas (UDLA), on the pathogenesis of bacterial endocarditis, before and after the visualization of an educational video. Evaluate the level of impact of the educational video and its teaching quality, through applied image and audio techniques, in order to educate about prevention. Materials and methods: Preparation of an educational video about bacterial endocarditis, its prevention and impact in the dental field. A questionnaire was elaborated with detailed questions that assess the students' general knowledge about bacterial endocarditis and its repercussions on dental care. After collecting the initial data, the educational video was indicated to the students of Clinic II-V, and finally the students completed a questionnaire on the educational, didactic, visual and pedagogical quality of the video. 180 students of the Dental Clinic were evaluated, where it was observed that the video successfully imparted the necessary knowledge, the age range, gender and clinical level were analyzed. The statistical analysis and tabulation of results was performed using the Excel spreadsheet of the Microsoft Office program for Windows, the statistical significance was performed using the Chi-square test performed for 2 weeks and the educational video was made with the program After Effects Results: By collecting data from the questionnaires, it was possible to identify that at the beginning of the study the students were successful 76.14%, and after viewing the video the students improved their results 92.44%. Conclusions: Through the study, it was determined that digital education in combination with Socratic education can improve the knowledge and understanding of scientific information contributing positively to the educational process and student performance.en
