Descripción : The Larrea and Santa Clara neighborhoods have a very marked historical memory that has influenced their development, as a consequence important and emblematic buildings have been built, such as the Central University, Santa Clara Market, The Circasiana and Eugenio Espejo College. There are also important parks nearby that are part of the Quito Green Network, such as El Ejido Park and Alameda. However, in the development of the urban diagnostic phase carried out in the previous period many problems that affect the current situation of the site have been identified, such as the population decline, and the absence of green spaces in the sector. For this purpose, urban objectives and strategies have been proposed in order to improve the current conditions of the site, seeking to potentiate the sector and convert it into a network of micro centralities that articulate through public space, generating new equipment. The Visual Art Center located in the Barrio Santa Clara in the streets Av. 10 de Agosto, Juan Murillo and Bolivia, is one of the proposed facilities and will be developed in the right place since the site has a marked historical memory and it is located near strategic points where Art is developed such as the Central University or where art is exhibited such as El Ejido Park. This center is mainly aimed at artists, students, fans and residents of the sector. Therefore, the project will aim to offer an educational and exhibition center that, complemented with the other artistic equipment, satisfies the artistic and cultural needs, providing a quality public space for the community.
