dc.descriptionThe business idea that focuses on this document is the production and commercialization of a sunscreen based on guayusa, which is an endemic plant in the eastern region of Ecuador and has been used mainly in beverages and infusions, which have been exported to the United States and Europe, this is due to its distinctive flavor, which is highly demanded in the mentioned markets. The attributes of the guayusa in the dermatological aspect is its calming power in the skin and cellular regeneration due to its caffeine content. In order to commercially exploit these attributes and differentiate themselves from existing products in the market, the business idea is raised. As a key aspect, the supply of raw material has been identified, which is why a fair trade structure is proposed between the company and the guayusa producers associations, for which a budget of 47,034 dollars is allocated in five years, with In order to provide technical assistance and training to achieve a high quality product that is harvested throughout the year, this way a sunscreen with high quality standards is guaranteed and a social approach is delivered to the companys suppliers. In the financial aspect, the start up of the company has an initial investment of 115,067 dollars, which is financed 65 percent by the shareholders and 35 percent through a bank loan. The generation of net income is obtained from year 1 and increases annually until year 5, which results in a value of 55,093 dollars, which is a net margin of 8.81 percent. The financial evaluation, through the net present value and internal rate of return, determine that the venture is viable and generates an added value to the shareholder above the opportunity cost.en
dc.description.abstractLa idea de negocio que se enfoca en el presente documento es la producción y comercialización de un protector solar a base de guayusa, que es una planta endémica de la región oriental del Ecuador y que ha sido utilizada principalmente en bebidas e infusiones, las cuales han sido exportadas a Estados Unidos y Europa, esto se debe a su sabor distintivo, que es altamente demando en los mercados mencionados. Los atributos de la guayusa en el aspecto dermatológico es su poder calmante en la piel y la regeneración celular debido a su contenido de cafeína. Con la finalidad de explotar comercialmente estos atributos y diferenciarse de los productos existentes en el mercado se plantea la idea de negocio. Como aspecto clave se ha identificado el abastecimiento de la materia prima, es por ello que se propone una estructura de comercio justo entre la empresa y las asociaciones de productores de guayusa, para lo cual se destina un presupuesto de 47.034 dólares en cinco años, con el fin de proveer asistencia técnica y capacitación para lograr un producto de alta calidad y que sea cosechado durante todo el año, de esta manera se garantiza un protector solar con altos estándares de calidad y se entrega un enfoque social a los proveedores de la empresa. En el aspecto financiero, la puesta en marcha de la empresa tiene una inversión inicial de 115.067 dólares, la cual es financiada en el 65 por ciento por los accionistas y 35 por ciento a través de un préstamo bancario. La generación de utilidad neta se obtiene desde el año 1 y se incrementa anualmente hasta el año 5 que se obtiene un valor de 55.093 dólares, que es un margen neto de 8,81 por ciento. La evaluación financiera, a través del valor actual neto y tasa interna de retorno, determinan que el emprendimiento es viable y genera un valor agregado al accionista por encima del costo de oportunidad.es_ES
