Descripción : People who seek to have whiter and perfect smiles have increased the demand for teeth whitening treatments. Nowadays, the success of dental restorations is attributed to the adhesive system used in the procedures; However, it has been proven that teeth whitening treatments reduce the resistance to the dentin, which calls for further research on this topic. Objective: Determine the effect of aloe vera, grape seed extract, green tea and sodium ascorbate on the dentin bond strength with an exposure of a 35 percent solution of hydrogen peroxide. Materials and Methods: 80 extracted third molars prepared to work in dentine, randomly distributed in: one group of 5 specimens (SB) where only the restoration was made without bleaching or antioxidant. Another group of 15 specimens (SA) where bleaching and restoration was performed without the use of antioxidants. In adition, four groups of 15 specimens each (AV, SU, TV and AS), and also with the SA group, were subdivided into 5 specimens according to the waiting time to perform the restoration (immediate, 7 days or 14 days post-bleaching During the waiting time the specimens were stored in daily changed destilled water, then cut into fragments with an approximate area of 0.8mm2 and subjected to microtraction (0.5mm . min), observing the type of adhesive failure in an optical microscope. . For the statistical analysis, the one-way ANOVA and Tukey test (α same 0.05) were used. Results: when doing the immediate restoration, the AV (17 MPa) and AS (17 MPa) groups obtained a significant favorable difference when compared with the SA (13 MPa) group, while at 7 and 14 days there was no difference between the groups. Conclusion: aloe vera and 10 percent sodium ascorbate have a favorable effect immediately on the adhesive resistance to dentin treated with 35 percent hydrogen peroxide.
