| dc.description | This project is based on the botanical collections. They are at the Alfredo Paredes herbarium in Quito (QAP). It is located at the Central University of Ecuador, campus of the University City, America and Carvajal avenues, Philosophy Faculty building, at north wing in sixth floor. This herbarium is founded and directed by the Botanist Dr. Carlos E. Cerón Martínez. He is professor of this University. The importance of the herbarium is to show the Ecuadorian flora, the sustenance and conservation of the environment where we live, and the influence of environmental in the thought, through of a 2D and 3D animated short film. The current research adds in several activities, such as: photographs taking, drone using; botanical samples consulting, mounted and labeled; botanical bibliography based to some utilities including feeding, fuel, building, medicine, rituals, environmental indicators, etc., which are deposited in the herbarium. At my home, the photographs of the plants were digitalized, 3D modeling of the herbarium using the Autodesk Maya program, sound of the environment and dialogues carried out in Adobe Audition and finally I realized the postproduction and production in Adobe After Effects, getting the animated short film. With the present result is expected to reach more people, university and government institutions related to botany, audiovisual images will allow a better strengthening in environmental conservation, necessary for future generations to enjoy this wonderful biotic resource. | en |
