| Descripción : | Through this final degree project it is proposed to implement a library of modern cultural themes that promotes and stimulates the culture of reading, focusing directly on children and adolescents, breaking the outdated scheme of local libraries, integrating interactive cultural spaces , with educational and cultural purpose, that benefits, contributes and integrates the whole sector, generating a cultural richness, and discover talents that are not well exploited in childhood and adolescence such as music, art among others. This project is proposed to be developed in a residential building located on Juan Lopez de Velasco and Juan M. Has 2 floors are intended to intervene, including a sub-level that provides parking for about 8 vehicles, storeroom and machine room. A few blocks away are some urban landmarks such as Quito Sur Experimental Educational School, Atahualpa shopping center, Enrique Garcés Hospital, neighborhood house of Lorena, among others. It should be noted that this building was chosen strategically due to the proximity to the educational area as well as the residential area, which has a high rate of youth and children as indicated by the last census conducted in the area (Quito, 2010), this implies a high demand of users, which in the future would have this Library. Analyzed some similar spaces in the city of Quito it was concluded that there is no educational and recreational place for the activities before mentioned such as the one proposed in this project. Additionally, this library will offer a space for projection of films and documentaries for educational purposes. I could also be used for conferences, seminars, courses for the whole community. |
