| dc.description | The present work proposes the change of the traditional system of construction of sidewalks and walkways in the Jiménez Ayala residential project, replacing the traditional concreting with a system of prefabricated concrete tiles, for the execution of this project a fieldwork was carried out to analyze the different variables that would be presented, also had the support of the engineer in charge of the project and worked on the basis of current national standards such as the Ecuadorian Construction Standard (NEC), NTE Standard INEN 2244 that regulates the accessibility requirements of people to the physical environment, was also attended to the Standard NTE INEN 2855 that dictates the accessibility regulations of people to the physical environment in regard to fords and cord recesses. The current local regulations, such as The Metropolitan Ordinance No.0172 covering the administrative regime of land, Metropolitan Ordinance No.0282 that regulates the specifications and uses of public spaces, were also taken into account. Considering all these aspects, it was concluded that it was possible to make this system change based on the system used in the city of Barcelona-Spain but adapting to the norms and requirements of the Ecuadorian reality. At the moment, this project is a pioneer in the Metropolitan District of Quito, since no other projects of this type have been carried out in Quito due to the lack of training and lack of knowledge of the technique. The result was the realization of an original and personalized interior road that contributes a lot to the architectural style of the house and draws the attention of the project's visitors. | en |
