Descripción : Abaca fiber is a raw material from the stem of the banana plant, with great potential in the industry, but currently does not have added value processes that generate new business opportunities before the properties of this fiber, as well as what is its extraction process and its export and commercialization routes. This project is based on a design methodology through research and experimentation of use and error tests, with constant validation. In the step by step we will look at the process of creating an abaca-based composite material that serves to replace the use of other composite materials that generate greater environmental wear such as plastic and glass or carbon fibers, as well as giving it a added value that generates more profit to the exports of this fiber, not only as raw material. After that, we will proceed to the elaboration of commercial presentations of the final sample to which its resistance and feasibility will be validated with tests of use and environment. As well as the gains and costs that a piece would have, if its production was carried out in a semi-industrial way in the long term. At the end a prototype will be made with abaca-based material, trying out different finishes, with the aim of seeing their behavior before them, through the practice of use in a daily object. The discoveries that were made throughout each process were documented in a Video Blog which will be distributed throughout the document. All this based on friendly features for the environment
