Descripción : This project aims to optimize the processes of control and drinking water meter reading readings, for the Municipal Drinking Water Company (EMAP) administered by the GAD (Decentralized Autonomous Government) of Pimampiro. The project was developed through the concept of progressive web applications, this technology allowed the development of a web module where a user with an administrative role registers the meters with markers, over an área drawn by the user within a georeferenced map. The web module manages information of users, subscribers, accounts, sectors and allows to verify the readers journey in a day. The progressivity allowed at the same time the development of a mobile application where a user with the reader role has access to a georeferenced map. The application specifies the geographical location of a water meter, the user must go to the measurement point to identify a subscriber using a QR code to record the reading, determine the consumption and payment values. This solution was proposed to avoid the manual collection of readings, to avoid the typing of readings, to improve reading times, to control readers, to favor emission times and to improve productivity in general. The development of this project is based on the use of tools with free licensing, a defined architecture and the application of agile methodologies. The study of usability of the project gathered favorable results, the users expressed satisfaction with the interface, the information, the ease of use and the interaction, to complete their tasks efficiently. This project is a study that raises the automation of drinking water readings management processes and may be viable for future implementations in other municipalities of the country.
