Descripción : The present degree work shows the evaluation of hearing protectors through a binaural listening system, Dummy Head. Where you will find simplified attenuation numbers of hearing protectors evaluated. This procedure is performed in a diffuse room, where an omnidirectional source and the dummy head are placed to take samples without the use of the hearing protector and samples with the use of the noise protection device. The samples are acquired using the SPECTRA PLUS software. The results show that 4 of the 6 hearing protectors analyzed provide values of the simplified attenuation number next to those that the manufacturer delivers, while the remaining 2 have a value lower than the value delivered by the manufacturer. In addition, the standard deviations found with the procedure are lower because in this experiment there are no test subjects. Finally, in view of the results obtained, a cost versus benefit relationship can be analyzed, where it is determined that the higher the hearing protector cost, the greater the hearing protection is obtained. In addition, for the most part, the hearing protectors analyzed have real attenuation values, and as a factor for this value to decrease in the use of the noise reduction device, it is the placement of the same in the head.
